Forden Energy Inc.

On August 17, 2025, Forden Energy Inc. ("Forden") filed a Notice of Intention to Make a Proposal ("NOI") pursuant to s. 50.4 of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act, and G. Chan & Associates Inc. was appointed Proposal Trustee ("Trustee").

On October 1, 2025, 2150865 Alberta Ltd. ("215") also filed a NOI and G. Chan & Associates Inc. was appointed Trustee.

Status:
On September 11, 2025, the Court of King's Bench of Alberta granted an Order ("First Extension Order"), inter alia, extending the time for Forden to file a proposal to October 31, 2025.

On Oct 20, 2025, Forden and 215 (collectively, "Debtors") filed an application with the Court returnable October 28, 2025, for an Order, inter alia, procedurally consolidating the NOI proceedings of the Debtors, authorizing a sale and investment solicitation process ("SISP"), approving a sale of working interests by 215 to Forden, extending the Administration Charge to 215, granting a charge in favour of Sayer Energy Advisors, and an extension of time for the Debtors to make a proposal to Dec 15, 2025.

The First Extension Order also contained certain service provisions allowing posting of materials to this webpage to constitute valid service upon parties not providing alternative methods of service within 10 days of being served with the First Extension Order via regular mail. Parties are encouraged to provide the Debtor Counsel and the Proposal Trustee with an email address for electronic service to continue receiving notices of these proceedings.
